Waterpark Fun

I'm a little late for this post, but its better late than never right? :)  For my oldest sister Joanna's birthday, my entire family (minus Marisa who was in Taiwan) met at Fort Rapids in Columbus for a day of waterpark fun.  She had more of those half off tickets so we literally paid $25 for our entire family of 5 to have a TON of fun!  I can see this as being a fairly often activity because it is so fun and just about the half way point to meet for everyone.  I didn't get that many pictures.  Its hard to take pictures when you have a $1500 camera at a waterpark... :)
Megan, for sure, loved it!  She is such a water baby!  The last time we went to Fort Rapids was in March.  Its amazing what the 5 months has done for her in regards to her balance.  She was able to go down the slides all by herself this time and was able to stand right up instead of just hanging out under water until we picked her up. :) She was almost constantly moving though, so pictures of her were tough.  This was all I got.
Cherith learns a lot from her brother. :)
Tyler and Andrew
And Daniel close behind!
:)
Love this one!  See what I mean about being a water baby?
Another fun one of Daniel...he was also too quick for me to get too many pictures of
Morgan, hanging out in the stroller.  (She has become our little thumb sucker!)
The adults had fun too.  We took turns on kid duty and had the opportunity to have time on the water slides ourselves.  Here the guys are racing.  THIS WAS SO FUN! Fun to watch too. :)
Zach won this one with, Tim, my Tim, and Dad following close behind.
I love his big grin here...he had fun!
Then the girls had a chance to go down.  Standing in line was almost just as fun as the slide!  A chance to talk without kid interruption... :)  Other than the fact that Mom totally cheated (as is evidenced by the fact that she came down first without any of us even close by...), this was by far my favorite part of the day.  I seriously giggled, not laughed, giggled as I went down.  I don't think I've had much fun like that over the past few years and so I was VERY easily pleased. :)
The rest of us following close way behind (remember, MOM CHEATED) See my face? So fun!
I have a ton of super cute pictures of Baby K and Morgan together but unfortunately, can't post them. I am already ready to go again and CAN'T WAIT to do it all again!  When we went in March, I was pregnant so I couldn't do any of the water slides.  I truly missed out!  So fun! (pretty sure I've said that like 10 times...) :)

Another downed tree

Ever since our big storm on June 29th, we have had more and more tree work to take care of.  It seems like when we cut down one tree, it weakens another.  We didn't even hear it storm last Thursday night but apparently it did and apparently it was windy.  I woke up early to run and saw this.
Had it broken just a few feet lower, it would have hit our house.  It was only 3 feet away from our garage roof.

Needless to say, our wood to split pile is getting bigger and bigger and I'm pretty sure we will be fine on fire wood this winter.

Happy Birthday, Joshua!

Last Sunday, the 12th, we had the privilege of going to Joshua's birthday party.  Joshua is a friend of ours who just turned 6!  You can check out the pictures I took of him here.  The kids sure had a ton of fun!  Megan sported her first pony tail. :)
Joshua has gone through Thomas the Train, Transformers, and Angry Birds to name a few and now his favorite thing is Phineas and Ferb.  So, thats what his party was this year.

I think this was when Megan was so tired she just decided to hang out for awhile
Tyler never stopped moving.  Needless to say, they fell asleep on the way home

Happy Birthday, Joshua!!!

Sweet Morgan

It has been very early in all of our children's lives that we have been able to detect at least some of their character shining through.  I specifically remember Megan's strength and strong will  determination very early on in her life.  Though she is definitely a trying toddler right now, I know that her God given character will develop her into a very strong woman as an adult.  Anyway, Morgan is showing us VERY clearly that she is sweet, gentle, and fragile.  She is going to be our girly girl for sure.  I see her twirling and dancing and loving cuddles.  I can't get over her sweet cooing and smiling and she has been such a joy to have as a baby.  That is saying a lot from me because I have never been a fan of the newborn-4 month old stage.  Without further ado, here is Morgan in all her sweetness...at least all the sweetness that you can capture when you get out the camera. :)

So, maybe toward the end there she wasn't all sweet :)

 sleepy baby!
Tim had Morgan laughing the other night but of course, by the time I got the camera she was about laughed out
She is officially ticklish though so I'm sure we will capture her sweet little giggle eventually

More cooing and smiling

Not enough sweetness for ya?  Here's a few more. :)

Have I mentioned that she is also sleeping 11-12 hours at night already?  Maybe thats why I am enjoying her so much. ;)

Carbonation

So, our kids have only tasted carbonated beverages a hand full of time in their lives.  Well, when we had pizza a couple weeks ago, it only seemed fitting to have some with it.  I missed Megan's first initial face with it but here is what I did get.

Notice how Tyler said "Its spicy!"  So funny!  Well, it was much funnier in person.

Our New Fort!

We have had our swing set for about a year now and we knew we wanted to build some sort of slide/fort thing on the side but hadn't had the time or money to do it until just recently.  Tim's parents helped with a LOT of the lumber costs and Tim was able to build this in just a few days in his spare time.  The kids LOVE it and I have to admit, the slide is pretty fun. :)
Tyler's favorite is definitely the sandbox underneath.  He will play there for a long time!
Another project Tim has done recently is putting the paving bricks down that we collected from my parents house when they did their remodel. We now have a bigger patio area and a sidewalk leading from the front sidewalk back to it.  Though its not perfect, I love how it turned out!

Tyler has become quite the little monkey lately.
Check out this video of him spinning. :) Sorry about having to turn your head sideways...forgot that my camera doesn't seem to have an orientation sensor when taking video.

And, because these were cute, I had to post them too :)
And a picture of the "flowers" Tyler picked for me the other day :)
