Its been awhile since I posted anything on here and I have lots of pictures to post! March has definitely been a fun month in comparison to February's snow, sickness, hospitals, and just plain YUCK! We have had several beautiful days where we've been able to get out and take walks and just enjoy the changing of seasons. This year is going to be so drastically different having Tyler at an age where he can actually play and explore things. He sticks everything in his mouth, but I figure a little dirt never hurt right?

Our first walk together this spring. Tyler was a bit tired, but at least we got a smile still!

He LOVES the swing

Tyler is developing more and more with each passing day. He pulls himself up to stand, cruises on furniture, walks behind his walker, (a little shaky still) and actually plays catch and passing the ball really well for his age. He loves playing with balls or really anything that we will let him throw and bounce around. He has become quite the little racer with his crawling skills and loves when we just let him go explore without being limited on where he can go. He especially loves our church's activity center which of course, has to be one of the most nasty floors ever. Our friends Joel and Cynetta's oldest boy turned 5 a couple weeks ago and we went there for his birthday party. We let Tyler roam free and he LOVED it! But he was absolutely filthy when we got home and it was already so late that we decided to just give him a quick bath in the sink before bed. I figured that would be quicker and easier. It was definitely quicker but I don't think easier is the right word to describe the experience. We haven't given Tyler a bath in the sink since he was just days old, before his cord fell off. He is definitely MUCH bigger now and MUCH more squirmy. He loved it though.
This picture makes me laugh because he looks cross eyed.

Tyler has a new fascination and that is with Widget, our cat. I wouldn't say Widget is necessarily a fan, but she definitely has some motherly instinct in her. She has always been really gentle with Tyler even when she is in a playful mood.

It is hard to get pictures of him outside because he is literally NONSTOP movement. But he stopped just briefly to "talk" for a minute so I snapped a picture and this is the expression I got.

It seems like even here in the past week, Tyler has REALLY started babbling/talking a LOT. It is so cute hearing him and trying to get him to repeat things. So far, he says Ma and Da Da and I could have sworn he repeated "shoes" one day. Who knows.
I don't want to rush Tyler in growing up at all, but one thing that I am hoping for is that he will be walking efficiently by the time this baby is born. Although there are some days when I feel like he is SO far from it, there are other days when he does this (standing independently) MANY times and makes me realize that its going to be soon...too soon.

We can't believe that its been almost a year since Tyler entered the Schramm's household...and since I don't want to get emotional about that right now, I will simply just leave it at that.
