Carr Family 2012

These are the family pictures we got this year.  All 17 of us (minus Baby K in the pictures).  I think they turned out pretty good!  For the most part, everyone is happy!

Easton Family Pictures

I always want to be able to capture some pictures of my family like I do for so many others with my small photography business, but it seems like we never have the time or cooperation to do it when Tim and I go to visit them.  Having young kids will do that I guess. :)  Last week during our vacation at my parents house, I was able to take a few good ones of my sister Stephanie's kids.  Here are some of my favorites.

Daniel, age 3 1/2

She wasn't exactly in the mood for pictures but I love this one!

Cherith, age 18 months

It was tough getting a good one of both of them!

Got a couple good family ones too!

I got some really cute ones of my other sister Joanna's 5 month old foster baby, but unfortunately I can't post them here.  She is SOO cute!

Megan's first 2nd birthday party

Even though it wasn't even in the right month, since we were at my parents house with my whole family there, we decided to go ahead and celebrate Megan's birthday so that my family wouldn't have to make the trek to our house. Plus, since Megan is a little water rat and LOVES to be in the pool, I figured having her party at a pool would be much more fun for her. Makes it easier on me too so I don't have to plan as many games and activities. :)

The cake, made by my aunt Jennifer.  SOOO good!  The little round cake on the top pulled right off and was a perfect little smash cake.
Paper lanterns are a much better investment than balloons I have decided.  Once you figure in the price of the balloons and the helium, these reusable paper lanterns are SOOO much cheaper!  I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for these on clearance in any color so that I can have a large selection of colors for all birthday parties.
Megan's theme was polka dots...fits her personality PERFECTLY and I LOVED all the colors!
 My little polka dot beauty

 love this little girl!
 The kids table
 Happy Birthday to you!
 First taste
She was upset that she got it on her elbow

 Seriously...those eyelashes are amazing!

You can tell she loved the cake too!
She didn't like her messy hands afterwards though!  She was ready to get cleaned up!

What better way to clean up than in the pool!  Well, not really...I cleaned her up inside first and then, of course, applied sunscreen before getting in the pool

 Enjoying the pool deck
big jumps to Daddy for the birthday girl!

 Cherith and her noodle tutu
Where Morgan spent the entire party...I don't think either one of them minded ;)
My cousin who just graduated from high school this year...CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
Water balloon pinatas...my pinterest idea that was kind of a flop.  I didn't use water balloons 1 because I didn't have them, and 2 because I thought they would break too easily.  Turns out, these balloons were too difficult to break!
The kids sure loved whacking them though!

I finally told my Dad to get something to help assist the balloon popping a little bit.  He did and I captured the perfect action shot of what happened next! :)
The big boys got a chance to hit a few balloons too and Jacob burst his balloon on the first whack!
Daniel didn't want any help in busting his balloon and worked at it for quite awhile.  He eventually was able to get it off the string and stomped on it and eventually squeezed it until all the water was out.
 Opening presents
New sheets from Nan Nan!  I know she wasn't exactly thrilled, but I am excited to have some more girly sheets!
Her only toy gift, one of her favorite things...
 bubbles!!!
And another new gift that I was excited about, a girly comforter!  This should last her until Tim and I move both girls into the same room and get them matching stuff.
I was disappointed in my pictures and didn't feel like I captured the fun the kids were having.  I was especially disappointed I didn't get a picture of her, well, all the kids, blowing out her candle.  I guess thats what happens when you are the parent and the photographer!  Anyway, I have another chance this upcoming weekend to capture those pictures at her second party.  Already can't wait!
