I had my 28 week follow up appointment yesterday. I passed my glucose test which is great, and other than having SLIGHTLY increased BP, everything is checking out okay for baby #3. Because I have been having some contractions, the doctor wanted to do an ultrasound to check the length of my cervix to make sure it wasn't shortening too early. Everything was fine with that thankfully and we were able to get another view at our little peanut.
Chubby cheeks from Daddy!
Cute little toes!
I love this one. Looks like he/she is blowing bubbles. :)
I am officially at my prepregnant weight. :( My goal was to not gain any weight this pregnancy because I was so big to start out with. I lost 10 pounds and was doing great until this past month and gained SEVEN pounds in just one month! I know its because of my eating but I am blaming it on the baby. ;) I feel like I am ALWAYS hungry and can't seem to get enough! Hopefully from here on out, I will only gain what the weight of the baby will be so that immediately following delivery, I can be back down to prepregnant weight again. I have some big plans for some serious reduction in myself come May!
As I said, I have been having some contractions. Nothing that I can call painful, but definitely uncomfortable. I feel like I am in a constant contraction at work and always have a lot of tightening after eating. I am also measuring big, about 3 weeks, which I remember doing with Tyler. Makes me a bit concerned that I will deliver early like I did with him, but since Megan came closer to her due date, I know not to get my hopes up. I have also feared not making it to the hospital in time since Megan came some quickly. More than likely, though, this baby will come after my due date, after a long and grueling labor. :) Thats what I keep preparing myself for anyway.
Tyler and Megan (especially Megan) don't really understand that I have a baby in my belly. Since Tim hasn't even felt the baby move yet, I can't even begin to think I could get them to feel the baby and make them understand a bit more. Tyler will give my belly kisses but then it always just ends up being a blowing raspberries fest on Mommy's tummy and I end up being tortured by slobbery lips all over my belly. :)
We still have MUCH to do to get ready for baby. Gotta move Megan out of the "nursery" and in to Tyler's room which involves moving Tyler to the top bunk and putting Megan in a big girl bed. All that involves Tim finishing the staircase he has been working on for the bunk bed. Once that is done, all of Megan's clothes have to be moved into Tyler's closet which involves moving around the hanging racks that are already in there. Then, of course, there is going to be a serious toy consolidation aka garage sale to get rid of some of the junk in Tyler's room so that it is not so cluttered. Then, I am hoping to be able to actually prepare the baby's room with clothes, toys, etc that only they will use. I have never been prepared like I plan to be prepared this time. I am excited! :) Lots of work to be done though and unfortunately, not much time to do it!
Anyway, I know I am rambling and most of you probably didn't even read this due to its boring nature. :P For those of you who did, thanks for reading!
