Friday, Tim and I were able to make it standby to San Antonio, TX in time to be able to spend some time with Tim's brother, Jon, after he graduated from the Air force boot camp. We weren't able to make it in time for the graduation, but we were able to spend some time with him afterwards, and that is what was most important to us. Jon graduated with top honors, the only one to receive that award. Basically, it means that he was the best all round airman. What's even cooler is that he is one of 52 awarded this award a year out of the 35,000 a year that go through boot camp. So, that is quite the honor. He is hoping that it will get him into officer training. Anyway, we are proud of him and it was great to be able to see and spend time with him this past weekend.

San Antonio Sea World

While in San Antonio, we were able to go to Sea World which was a lot of fun. Here we are waiting to watch the sea lion show...

This was funny because the otter wouldn't do what it was supposed to do so she had to keep repeating herself. It had everyone rolling though!
I love the sea lions!
All of us in our super cool shades getting ready to watch the 4d pirate movie
My second favorite, Shamu (or at least the Shamu want-a-be)
It was fun and brought out the kid in me again...I can't wait to have children of my own to be able to take them to places like this!

Watching Noah

I babysat Noah today while Cynetta went to work. Here are some of the pictures I got of him. We had fun! :)

I caught him in the window with Widget watching a squirrel. It was cute! :)

My weekend...

My parents, my sister and brother-n-law, and my nephew came to visit this past weekend. It was a very nice relaxing weekend and I got to spend a lot of time with my little 5 month old nephew that is growing up so fast! I hadn't seen him since December and when they are that little, they grow up so fast!! Heres some pictures of him. He is so cute!!

what a happy baby!!

so sleepy!! :) I loved this!

Tim had to work most of the weekend so he didn't get to spend much time with my family. But here is Andrew saying hello! He loved being so high in the air! :)

My mom was trying so hard to get him to do his little belly laugh...it was hilarious to watch, thats for sure! :)

My parents surprised me, big time, with a little Easter present...

Tim so wonderfully named her, Widget. She is somewhere between 8-10 weeks old and is going to be our little mouser. As soon as she is old enough to get fixed, she will be moving outside to her permanent home.

Her and Andrew meeting for the first time...she kept attacking his little kicking feet

It was a great weekend!!!

Dreaded Dentist Visit

Since being married, Tim and I have procrastinated on finding and going to a dentist. I went every 6 months my entire life until getting married so its been 3 years since I have been. Tim hadn't been in 5 years. Guess how many cavities we had?

Shannon: 0 !!!!
Tim: 11

hehe, I thought that was funny The big difference between Tim and I is that I don't drink any pop or eat candy and he has candy, Gatorade, and mountain dew pretty much every day

One tree wasn't enough...

Apparently the one tree we cut down by the house wasn't enough because the wind yesterday and last night did this...

It was a pretty tree too. Although, as we found out, it is actually the neighbors tree. But they said we could keep the wood. I think it would make really pretty picture frames or something.

Oh, and don't worry, thats not a power line...just the old phone line. I made sure before Tim started cutting away.

He's still faithful...

What a week it has been...I can hardly believe the events that have happened in the past few weeks. Its hard to believe that its already been almost 2 weeks since we first found out the bad news about our baby. But God has been faithful to Tim and I and we continue to have peace about our situation. We've had good moments and bad moments but in the end we still know that God is in control and has a great plan for our lives. Here are some pictures of some of the beautiful flowers that I have had to look at the past week. The hyacinths are so fragrant!! Thanks Dad and Mom for those...I love them!

Tim and I have been in our house for 2 weeks now. We absolutely love it and feel so blessed to have friends and family to help us with the moving process and doing work around the house! I personally have loved being able to look out the window at the bird feeders and watch the birds and squirrels (although, I want to shoot the squirrels because they eat my flowers). Here are a couple pictures I took of the birds.

We were able to cut down 2 trees that were dangerously close to the house yesterday. It was beautiful outside so it was the perfect time to do it. I learned that Tim's father is quite the monkey!! You will see that in pictures below.
Here is the before shot...

Here's a picture of Tim's dad, the monkey :)

Here's the top coming off...

Little by little, inch by inch...

This is the biggest piece that they cut down at one time...very nerve racking, let me tell ya...
TIMBER!!

I forgot to get an after shot, of course, and now its raining, so you will have to imagine what it looks like with no tree in the front there...it looks so much better and we are glad to have it gone!!!

And here is a picture of Noah riding his tricycle while his dad worked on the tree. Tim and I got this last year for his 2nd birthday but his feet would't quite reach the pedals...its perfect for him this year!
