Flying together for the first time...

Today, Tim and I flew together for the first time...a lot of you are probably thinking, yeah right! They fly together all the time! No, I mean, Tim was the pilot and I was in the copilot seat of a very small plane!! It was something I have been looking forward to for a long time. Tim just got his pilot's license about a month ago and because of the weather and work and stuff we haven't been able to go up together yet. Well, today, last minute, we were able to. The clouds cleared up just enough. Here are some pictures that I tried to take to capture the event.

The plane...A Piper Warrier 4 seater N8115Y (and I feel cool that I know that you say it November 8 1 1 5 Yankee on the radio)

My pilot...

Me, very uneasy about the whole thing...

Just before takoff...

So focused....

Airborn!!!

Tim even let me fly!! Which made me incredibly nervous...

On one of our 3 landings...

One of the times we landed we landed next to this fella...

from far away it doesn't look like that big of a deal...

Yeah, that's 4 engines on that "heavy"

Yes, my military friends...thats a C5...a very large cargo plane...that almost trampled on us during our landing

Do you understand it's size yet? They are huge!!!

But anyway, the weather wasn't all that great so the pictures weren't all that nice or anything but we had a fun time...and I can't wait to do it again!

I love Fall!!

I just love fall!! Sunday was absolutely beautiful here in Ohio so Tim and I went out and took some pictures and went on a long walk...it was so nice. I wish we could do that every day. It was so relaxing. Here's a few pictures...I was a little disappointed in the quality...it's hard to take self portraits! And the sun was being difficult!

Charleston Falls

Cynetta and I went to Charleston Falls today and took some pictures of Noah and of the beautiful leaves. It was an absolutely beautiful day!! I think it is going to be like that tomorrow too so I am hoping that Tim and I can go there and have a picnic or something. :) Anyway, here is some of the pictures.

Such a little model!! :)

MRSA scare

So...I work in the Emergency Department of a Children's Hospital. I see a lot of crazy stuff...kids that swallow toothbrushes and thumb tacs, deformed arms and legs from some crazy trampoline stunt, bike accidents, lots of sickness...and MRSA. Come on, you know what MRSA is...its all over the news...and unfortunately after the 11 o'clock news last night the entire city of Dayton decided that their child had MRSA.....EVERY BUG BITE AND SCRATCH IS NOT MRSA!!!!! I had this mom who brought in her 16 year old son because he had a "bite" on his arm and he had been around the kids that were diganosed with MRSA recently...okay...I work in it EVERY day and I don't have it in all of my cuts and scrapes...but anyway, it turned out to be a ZIT! NOT MRSA! This other mom did the same thing. Her kid was around someone who was around someone else who's mother's best friend's uncle had it. OH MY WORD!!! These people sat in the waiting room for 3+ hours for this...crazy...I would post a picture of what MRSA really looks like...but I don't want to gross everyone out. Its nasty...The emergency room is for emergencies!!! Stop wasting our time with your kids bug bites and rashes and let the really sick kids have a room instead!!!

My sister and brother in law are now the proud parents of Andrew Bryce Seigneur. He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 18 inches long. He is the most spoiled baby and the cutest!! Here is a slide presentation that I put together of his first couple weeks of life. Some of the pictures don't work...but I'm working on that...
