First time fingerpainting...

...and last for awhile!  I thought it would be fun to make our own valentine's day cards for the grandparents this year and i saw a CUTE idea on pinterest that I wanted to try.  It involved little hands and little feet and was just sooo sweet!  The biggest set back was that it involved paint.  But after getting both Tyler and Megan little smocks and a nice new kids table, we set out to try it.  Tyler was SOOO excited and couldn't wait to try it.  Megan was excited because Tyler was excited and had no idea what was coming.  I figured I should do her hand prints first so I could get it before she got too messy.  She absolutely HATED her hands getting messy!  I never would have thought that with her double fisting eating habits.  So, the hand prints didn't exactly make the heart shape that it was supposed to.  She was trying too hard to get the paint off!  Then, I used Tyler's foot which he cooperated great for.  However, his feet aren't cute anymore!  They are just big ol' kid feet. :P  So, it didn't look like the picture on pinterest at all.  Not to mention the stress of trying to keep paint off the floor, keep Megan from freaking out because her hands were messy, and Tyler from touching everything in sight because he thought it was fun to paint.  Sigh. I think we will try again when its warm and we can move all activities outside! :)  Here's some pictures of our "fun."

Sorry to the grandparents, but, uh, you won't be getting Valentine's this year...

love the little smocks by the way . . . and the new table. Andrew has to use the counter and an old white shirt. :-)

I set them out on the counter to dry and Tim got home from work and threw them away before I had a chance to save them or get a picture. :(
